Important Information Regarding Your Installation Service

By proceeding with your installation booking, you acknowledge and agree to the following requirements and conditions.

Pre-Installation Survey

An installation and property survey will be emailed to you after your order is placed.

This survey must be completed accurately and in full before your installation can be scheduled.

Delays in completing the survey may delay your installation date. If information supplied in the survey is incomplete or incorrect, additional charges may apply where the installation requirements differ from those originally quoted or purchased.

Decommissioning & Reuse of Existing Components

Where an existing air conditioning system is being decommissioned or replaced, suitable existing components may be reused where appropriate. This helps reduce unnecessary waste, landfill and additional holes or alterations to the property.

Existing items that may be reused include:

  • Electrical cabling

  • Circuit cabling

  • Isolation switches

  • Refrigeration pipework or associated infrastructure where suitable

  • Pipe covers or duct covers

  • Existing penetrations through walls

If you require any existing component to be replaced rather than reused, this must be discussed and agreed with your installer before installation work begins.

Replacement of existing components may incur additional charges.

Once the installation has been completed, these items cannot be changed or replaced without additional labour, materials and associated charges.

Indoor & Outdoor Unit Locations

The final location and height of all indoor and outdoor units must be discussed and agreed with your installer before any installation work begins.

Unless specific requirements have been requested beforehand, the installer may use standard industry installation practices and determine an appropriate location based on accessibility, manufacturer requirements, drainage, pipework, electrical requirements and the property layout.

Once installation has commenced, unit locations cannot simply be changed.

Any requested change to the location, height, orientation or installation method after work has commenced may result in additional labour and material charges.

Standard Installation Conditions

Your purchased installation service is based on the inclusions and conditions stated with the installation product.

If the property or requested installation requires additional materials, labour or work outside the standard installation allowance, the installer will advise you before undertaking the additional work.

Additional work may include, but is not limited to:

  • Additional pipework or electrical cabling

  • Difficult or restricted access

  • High-wall or elevated installations

  • Roof access

  • Additional penetrations

  • Electrical upgrades

  • Switchboard works

  • Pumps or specialised drainage

  • Additional duct or pipe covering

  • Relocation of services

  • Structural or building-related modifications

Additional charges may apply.

Customer or Authorised Representative Must Be Available

You, or an authorised representative who is able to approve installation decisions and additional work, must be available onsite for the duration of the installation.

The installer may require approval regarding unit positioning, heights, pipework routes, drainage, electrical locations or unexpected site conditions.

If no authorised person is available to make these decisions, the installer may proceed using standard installation practices where appropriate, or the installation may need to be postponed.

Additional attendance or rescheduling charges may apply where work cannot proceed due to the customer or an authorised representative being unavailable.

Approval Before Work Begins

Please inspect and confirm the proposed installation locations with your installer before work begins.

Allowing the installer to commence work will be considered acceptance of the agreed:

  • Indoor unit location

  • Outdoor unit location

  • Installation heights

  • Pipe and duct-cover routes

  • Drainage location

  • Electrical and isolator positioning

  • General installation method

Please raise any questions or special requirements before installation commences.

Can you install my new air conditioning system?

Absolutely! Airconditioning Wholesale Australia can help arrange professional air conditioner installation in supported locations across Australia, subject to product, postcode and local installer coverage.

Installation solutions may be available for:

  • Ducted reverse cycle air conditioners
  • Split system air conditioners
  • Evaporative air conditioning

Which air conditioning system is best for me?

Unfortunately, there’s no one-size-fits-all solution to choosing a new air conditioner, and with so many brands and system types available, choosing the right option can be confusing.

Our team can help you compare equipment based on room size, property type, climate, efficiency, installation requirements and budget.

Useful questions include:

  • How many rooms require cooling or heating?
  • What level of energy efficiency are you looking for?
  • Are allergies, asthma or air-quality features important?
  • Do you need Wi-Fi, zoning or other smart controls?
  • What size air conditioner suits the space?
What size air conditioner should I get?

Some air conditioning systems can cost less initially, but consume more energy in the long term. Choosing the right sized air conditioner is important so your system isn’t overworked. Bigger is not always better for comfort and smaller isn’t always going to be more efficient. An air-con unit that’s not properly sized can fail in many ways.

An air conditioner that’s too big for your home or business may:

  • Use more energy than needed as it turns on and off too often
  • Require repairs more often from constant cycling
  • Have a shorter lifespan because it’s not suited to the space

An air conditioner that’s too small has a similar set of problems:

  • It can result in higher electricity bills from running constantly
  • Experience excessive wear and a shorter lifespan
  • Require repairs more often due to strain on the parts
